Visit Matera

Known as "City of the Stones" (CittàdeiSassi) and "Underground City", it is known for its historic Sassi districts, which make Matera one of the oldest still inhabited cities in the world. Visit Pollino

The PollinoNational Park covers 192,565.00 hectares of land and is located between two regions, Basilicata, also called lucania, and Calabria. It also ranges from the Tyrrhenian Sea to the Ionian Sea, from Cozzo del Pellegrino to SerraDolcedorme, from the Piani di Campolongo, of Novacco, and of Lanzo, to the Piani del Pollno, from the Argentino and Abatemarco rivers, to the Lao and the Raganello gorges, to the Peschiera and Frido streams. The natural area that enjoys a wide prestige is composed of dolomitic rocks, limestone bastions, fault walls of architectural origin, cliffs, very deep gorges, karst caves, tympanums of volcanic origin, of swallows, of plains, of meadows, of pastures placed at high altitude, of moraine accumulations, of glacial cirques and of erratic boulders.

Discover the Taranto Gulf

Visit Altamura

Here there is produced bread DOP, typical in its form. The main monument is the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta; to be added the Man of Altamura, intact skeleton of Homo Neanderthalensis, and cave of the dinosaurs, deposit dating to the Cretaceous period with dinosaur footprints.

Visit Gravina in Puglia

Part of the city extends on the banks of a deep crevasse, very similar to the canyons, dug in the limestone by the stream Gravina, tributary of the Bradano, from which take the name the famous ravines of the Murgia, in a territory characterized by the presence of numerous karst cavities, such as the Pulicchio di Gravina.
